JAIMINI PATHAK &
Working Title (Mumbai) present “CURFEW”. Jaimini has an extensive
acting career on stage as well as television. He has worked with stalwarts
of Indian theatre like Satyadev Dubey, Naseeruddin Shah and Sunil Shanbag
among others. “CURFEW” marks his directorial debut. Working Title is a
group of young Mumbai-based actors who work on original, unperformed scripts,
by Indian writers and bring them to the stage.
“CURFEW” is an intriguing satire on social issues with fluid images of This World, The Other World and The Netherworld juxtaposed with that of The Ordinary World! In a clever blend of travelogue, traditional story-telling and theatricality a mindscape into a fractured society is unveiled. |
| Without being didactic, the play interposes myth, magic and hard reality to document contemporary India and contemporary Indian situations! |
